Nueva Andalucía sits in the valley just behind Puerto Banús, between the sea and the Sierra Blanca mountains. Known as the Golf Valley, it is one of the most popular residential areas on the coast with families and international buyers who live here all year.
The lifestyle
Life revolves around golf, schools and the outdoors. Four courses run through the valley, Aloha, Las Brisas, Los Naranjos and Magna Marbella, and more lie just inland in Benahavís. The streets around Centro Plaza have restaurants, cafés and a Saturday market, and Puerto Banús and the beach are a short drive away. It feels residential and green, with the busy port close enough to enjoy and far enough to sleep.

Almost every type of home. Apartments and penthouses in gated complexes with gardens and pools, many overlooking the golf; townhouses that suit families; and villas, from classic Andalusian houses to new contemporary builds, especially in La Cerquilla, Los Naranjos and the upper valley towards La Quinta. Many older homes have been renovated, and a well-renovated villa on the golf is one of the most sought-after homes in Marbella.
Who it suits
Families, with several international schools nearby; golfers, of course; and anyone who wants the energy of Puerto Banús on the doorstep without living in the middle of it. It is also a strong rental area, for holidays as well as long stays.
Getting around
The A-7 and the AP-7 toll road are minutes away. Marbella centre is about 15 minutes by car, Estepona about 20 and Málaga airport around 50.
